What kind of rit are you?
My ritualist is very close to where i can farm Ssyn's Staff..around one mish away..and i was just wondering if anyone has any good channeling builds since the staff is channeling.
It's for PvE general with elites. Please post factions only builds..yes it's sad i only have factions i know
Thanks

Channeling is pretty strong, IMO, for PvE.
Splinter Weapon > PvE.
Umm... Try something like...
[skill]splinter weapon[/skill]
[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill]
... then... whatever, really. It doesn't matter - spam Splinter Weapon and Rage on the physicals and let them do the work.
Maybe... toss on a spirit, Essence Strike and... uhh... Signet of Spirits? ... to keep energy up, and keep the Splinter Weapons rolling.
[skill]bloodsong[/skill][skill]essence strike[/skill][skill]signet of spirits[/skill]
... or... you can use Restoration stuff quite easily, too, to support the team.

1.) Channeled Strike – Spell
Energy: 10Activation: 2 Recharge: 4
Spell. Target foe is struck for 5…95 lightning damage. That foe is struck for an additional 5...35 lightning damage if you are holding an item.
2.) Cruel Was Daoshen - Spell
Energy: 15Activation: 1 Duration: 15...60Recharge: 5
Spell. Hold Daoshen's ashes for up to 15...60 seconds. When you drop his ashes, all nearby foes are struck for 10...115 lightning damage.
3.) optional
4.) Soothing Memories - Spell
Energy: 5Activation: 1 Recharge: 5
Spell. Target ally is healed for 10...100 Health. If you are holding an item, you gain 3 Energy.
5.) Resilient Weapon - Weapon Spell
Energy: 10Activation: 1 Duration: 5...20Recharge: 4
Weapon Spell. For 5...20 seconds, target ally has a Resilient Weapon. While suffering from a Hex or Condition, that ally gains +1...6 Health regeneration and +24 armor.
6.) Nightmare Weapon - Weapon Spell
Energy: 5Activation: 1 Duration: 12Recharge: 10
Weapon Spell. For 12 seconds, target ally has a Nightmare Weapon. Target ally's next 3 attacks are reduced by 10…50 damage and steal up to 10...50 Health.
7.) Ancestors' Rage - Spell
Energy: 5Activation: 0.75 Recharge: 8
Spell. All foes adjacent to target ally are struck for 30…130 lightning damage.
8.) Flesh of My Flesh - Spell
Energy: 5Activation: 4 Recharge: 0
Spell. Lose half your Health. Resurrect target ally with your current Health and 5...20% Energy.
fairly good build, especially since it's more mobile cuz of the lack of spirits. needs better e-management though.
Channeling-Restoration builds are really popular and they are VERY effective as support character.
for the optional slot, you can add splinter weapon (since splinter and ancestors' is in most every channeling build nowadays) or wielder's boon if you wanna help the monks or resto rits.
this build has no elite skill. switching Daoshen with Kurrong will work for more utility or whatever.
it really depends on personal tastes.

[skill]Signet of spirits[/skill] fails because [skill]offering of spirit[/skill] exists.
I usually run something like this:
[skill]spirit rift[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]weapon of warding[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]
All the resto skills tend to change based on what I'm fighting, but there's always a spirit and two spells. Spirit rift can be dropped for a decent offensive PvE skill. Flesh of my flesh can be swapped for DP signet, based on your preference.
You need to run a couple good physicals to splinter up and crap ancestor's rage on, but that shouldn't be much of an issue.

Factions-only is a bitch though... and SoS does give the energy to shit Rages and Splinters everywhere, albeit less than Offering.

Aw, crap, I lose. Yeah, in that case you're stuck with SoS or (god help you) spirit channeling.
Pure was li ming is a no-go in that case too. I'd probably throw a hex removal or mend body and soul there or something.

GoLE is still better than SoS though. Which means you can start taking elites like... Like... Like... What was the question again?
Edit: Theres always Spirit Light Weapon but that's kinda' lame in pve... (Kinda' lame if you have WoR as well I guess).

The answer you were looking for was [skill]weapon of quickening[/skill], and take dulled weapon along with that.
Alternatively, expel hexes and some just use essence strike for energy.

Unfortunately, yes. No restoration for you! Dulled weapon actually does prevent a surprisingly large amount of damage against high level enemies with broken critical hit percentages, and WoQ is pretty nifty if you're running multiple casters.
Besides, it's not like there's any other elites out there for rits that don't furiously suck.

I have a restoration rit.
Cause i'm sorry but Restore Rit > Monk. But what I do hear from people though is that the best combo is both a monk and restore rit.
I'm gonna have to drag him through kurzick lands and get attuned... sigh... I been neglecting him too long. I been using him for a bit of HM farming but thats it.
I might have to try a channeling build at some point.

Restoration Rit > Heaking Monk
But,
Protection Monk and the Monk with Divine Boon and 1/4 sec cast spammbale spell >>> Restoration Rit
Restoration Rit get too much restriction. They always waste lots of time to cast spirits and stand within those earshot. 3 sec is enough for killing one person if foes do spike. Also, if foes go killing your spirits first, your great healing spell become worse, ([skill]spirit light[/skill], [skill]mend body and soul[/skill]) and some become useless. ([skill]spirit transfer[/skill]) Therefore, restoration rit is only good in RA since noobs don't know that they should take off those spirits first.
I 'm sorry but it is a truth.

Defensive Spirit Spammer > Protection Monk
Well, not in PvE where lots of damage is exchanged and spirits die fast, but in PvP, particularly RA/TA... invincible teams.

Give me three reasons why stopping a small amount of damage every 45 seconds with skills taht are stupidly easy to shut down is better then RoF/SoA/SB/PS/SoD/Guardian.
gogo.

1. It takes no skill to just put up spirits on recharge, as opposed to protting and preprotting targets.
2. ... PvE forum? Therefore... no skill? A prot monk who sucks is just healing with Divine Favour.
3. Ummm... nope, no actual reasons.
Spirit shitters don't even come close to a half decent Prot monk.
